I reduced it to one cup and also halved the boiling water, to compensate. You'll think there's something wrong when you add the water-- it gets very thin but bakes up nice and light. This is the most simple and delicious cake. I've made cupcakes from this recipe, too and, they've always turned out perfect. I always use the recipe on the box of Hershey’s cocoa. Makes 40 cupcakes
