What's to say ? comentando There's The Rub, LP, Album, Pin, MCA-464 This LP marks the beginning of the Laurie Wisefield era, joining founder Andy Powell in the twin guitar power-packed Wishbone Ash sound. One other thing: all the CDs I've been buying from Amazon & other places I already own in my own extensive collection, either in vinyl, 8-track, & others.
They never received the attention or accolades they truly deserve!
'There's the rub' introduces fans to the amazing talent of new guitarist Laurie Wisefield.
What's to say ? My "Desert Island Album". There's The Rub But you would already know how good this is.If your new to Wishbone Ash, This would be a great start.
If you like Wishbone Ash, you probably already know about this 1975 album, and like it.
Genres: Progressive Rock, Hard Rock.
I would recomend this to any Wishbone Ash fans. The albums kicks off with the twinkling introduction to 'Silver Shoes', with it's building base line and guitar riffs eventually tells the story of a woman desperation to become a famous film star, the song contains a classic example of a Wishbone Ash song. "There's The Rub" is a great Wishbone Ash album and is worth the purchase on its own.

The band got the formula right with this one.
Every track is great. Their hard rock edge married with a lyrical, ethereal prog rock quality bought them a long list of enduring fans.
Locked In is not as good as There's The Rub but it's still a decent Wishbone Ash album; I'd give a 3 star rating for Locked In.
Great channel separation . My copy sounds just amazing!
'There's the rub' introduces fans to the amazing talent of new guitarist Laurie Wisefield. Wishbone Ash played a Blinder on this one.
This animal was so much better than the rest (I think because of Wisefields playing) and it still kills me every time I hear it to this day. There was an error retrieving your Wish Lists.
This CD is an out of print collectible!
There's The Rub,is,in my humble opinion one of the best, guitar based albums ever and so the bargain based price won me over straight away!
The whole double CD is on the money, but the first album "There's the rub" is fantastic. Heard this misic today and was blown away. It stands as one of the killer rock albums of all time!!! The greatest guitar band that nobody has heard of, unfortunately.

Forget The Who, Led Zep, and all the rest.

Will set my carts using this record. A must-have for fans. But you would already know how good this is.If your new to Wishbone Ash, This would be a great start. It's getting rediculous. 'Lady Jay' will go down in history as one of the best ballads ever recorded, check out the solo at the end of the track, brilliant as it segues into the closing track.
