It feels like such a treat to get fresh local dark chocolate covered hazelnuts from Hummingbird, fresh produce, amazing coffee from Capitola, yummy charcuterie meats from Olympia Provisions, gourmet cheeses, and the most delicious sweetheart ham I've ever tasted from Revel Meats. Even once you’ve produced your cherries/chicken/cheese, you still have the go through the struggle of finding customers — and figuring out how to get your products to them. Testing MilkRun: Portland’s farm-to-doorstep grocery delivery service launches in Seattle MilkRun responded to the uptick by hiring 28 people from the restaurant industry, which has been hit hard by shutdown orders. Instead of each of several (say 5) suppliers sending a vehicle every week to meet the weekly needs of a customer, one vehicle visits each supplier on a daily basis and picks up deliveries for that customer. Shop local! Designed and Developed for Elexonic.com Highly recommended.Very good quality produce and meats, but the service needs some serious improvement. The produce box included artichokes, rhubarb, spring onions, squash, lettuce, carrots, beets, blackberries, potatoes, cherries, chard, and salad mix.
